Training

This training is for professionals from various disciplines who participate in a multidisciplinary team and wish to develop and enhance team skills and relationships. The content includes:  program components, team development exercises, NCA standards for accreditation and an opportunity for teams to create or improve their investigative process and working relationships with the assistance of a knowledgeable facilitator.

Target Audience
Communities that are developing or sustaining multidisciplinary teams.

Eligibility Requirements
Teams must be actively investigating and prosecuting child abuse cases. Teams must have representation from Child Protective Services, Law Enforcement and Prosecution. Other team members should include representation from: Victim Advocacy, Mental Health, Medical, Team Coordinator, Forensic Interviewer, CAC Staff.  If you have questions about team composition, please contact WRCAC staff.

Length
Each session is three and one-half days.

Application Fee
Teams selected for MDT Development training are chosen through a competitive application process.  Five 6-member teams will be chosen for each Multidisciplinary Team Training. Native American teams may be larger. If your team’s application is chosen, your team will receive a scholarship that includes: tuition for 6 members @ $799.00 each, up to 4 nights lodging, and a $1,000 travel stipend per team.
