CAC directors have a very unique and complex role unlike other program administrators. In particular, CAC directors must coordinate multiple programs within one agency, “supervise” staff and team that are not always in their employ, and have a comprehensive knowledge of NCA’s standards. New CAC directors come to their centers from a wide variety of professional and educational backgrounds: some with management experience and some without; some with experience in child maltreatment and some without.
This training seeks to address the basic issues of managing a CAC for the new director. Topics included: team coordination; board development; compliance with NCA standards for accredited members; grant writing/fund development; strategic planning
