WRCAC Building Resilient Teams | Applications Closed

Building Resilient Teams is an virtual, facilitated discussion group to build resiliency within the multidisciplinary team (MDT). Participants, with guidance from a facilitator, will review the implications of secondary traumatic stress responses within the MDT and identify key domains for building resiliency. Team partners will identify strategies to grow capacity in each domain and consider how to implement those strategies within their MDT to encourage resiliency. These discussion groups are open to two-person teams from MDTs, with at least one individual from each team having a leadership or facilitator role within the MDT to help encourage the successful implementation of new strategies.

TRAC National Chapter Leader Coaching Program | Applications Open

The Regional Children’s Advocacy Centers (RCACs) have come together to offer a National Chapter Leader Coaching Program grounded in the belief that State Chapter leaders do their best work when they are clear on their purpose, connected to their inner wisdom, and challenged to seek multiple perspectives on the many obstacles and opportunities inherent in their work. The purpose of this program is to facilitate purposeful learning, increased self-efficacy, and transformational growth for State Chapter leaders to support their movement-building efforts and increased resiliency in their role.

MDT Facilitator

TRAC Fundamentals of Team Facilitation 1: For New Facilitators | Applications Closed

This virtual training is intended to fulfill the 8.0 hours of core training for MDT facilitators (regardless of their actual job title) required in the 2023 National Children’s Alliance Standards for Accredited Members. This training covers an overview of the MDT facilitator’s role in the CAC/MDT model, an introduction to team development and skills for building trust and safety on the team. Ideal participants are MDT facilitators who have been in their role for less than 18 months.

TRAC Fundamentals of Team Facilitation 2: For Experienced Facilitators | Applications Closed
This virtual training is intended to fulfill the 8.0 hours of core training for MDT facilitators (regardless of their actual job title) required in the 2023 National Children’s Alliance Standards for Accredited Members. This training is designed to enhance facilitation and leadership skills by deepening understanding of the MDT facilitator’s key contributions to team functioning, including structure, communication, accountability, and relationships. Ideal participants are MDT facilitators who have been in their role for more than 18 months.

MRCAC Child Abuse Medical Preceptorship | Applications Open

The goal of our Child Abuse Medical Preceptorship (CAMP) program is to increase access to quality medical care for victims of child abuse by providing practitioners with hands-on technical skills, training, and follow-up support. CAMP builds upon our foundational medical education programs by connecting providers with highly qualified centers of practice for hands-on technical skills and education. This is a four-day intensive clinical experience combining observation, hands-on simulation, and technical training.

RCAC Foundations of CAC Family Advocacy | Applications Closed
This virtual training, formerly known as “The Advocate’s Role in the Multidisciplinary Response to Child Abuse”, is intended to fulfill the 24.0 hours of core training for victim advocates required in the National Children’s Alliance Standards for Accredited Members. This training covers the twelve competencies set forth in those standards and will include evaluation of an increase in skills and knowledge in those attending the training.

RCAC Moving Beyond: A Recorded Series of Special Topics in Victim Advocacy | Self-Guided Module
Moving Beyond: A Recorded Series of Special Topics in Victim Advocacy provides advocates an opportunity for online learning with experts in the child abuse field on these four special topics. The recorded trainings are 60-90 minutes that you can watch at your own pace, review the included resources, and download a certificate upon completion of the evaluation.
